Artist's Comments

I did these for my sister's birthday card. It's of three of our pigs, who are sisters :D From left to right; Broadband, Violet, Cherry. They're all awesome and extremely beautiful. I could've spent much longer on perfecting the details, but I was caught for time, and I'm happy with how they are. Most of the details were slaughtered by printing it anyway.

Photoshop CS, photo reference, two hours and my blessed smudge tool this morning are what I need to thanks for this.

Pigs are win.

And unlike most of the artists for pet supply companies, you can actually paint a pig that doesn't look like some hideous, anatomically-ambiguous goblin-rat.

:lol: Pigs are probably one of the hardest animals to draw - they've got barely any distinguishable features xD It's easier to be able to paint them like this, especially with a photo (:

Yeaaah, I know what you mean - there's hardly anything to them, when it comes to trying to draw them. I'm only lucky that these guys have plenty of colour and pattern and shadow to help them take form xD Painting them like this is easier than with a pencil on paper, anyway
